Transformation & Rebirth | Welsh Rites for Change

Change is rarely a single moment. More often, it unfolds through endings, thresholds, uncertainty, and the gradual recognition that something within our lives has begun to take a different shape.

This collection brings together Welsh-inspired rites concerned with transformation, release, renewal, and the periods of transition that lie between what has been and what comes next.

Drawing upon Welsh folklore, landscape, story, and contemporary spiritual practice, these offerings create space to acknowledge change rather than rush through it. Some are intended for deliberate acts of letting go; others explore the quieter work of adapting, rebuilding, or approaching a new chapter with greater awareness.

They do not promise to erase the past or remake a life overnight. Transformation may be slow, uneven, and deeply personal.

Like the landscape at the turn of a season, sometimes the first signs of what is becoming are small: new growth among last year's leaves, water moving again, or a road that looks different simply because we have reached it changed.
