I will then contact you personally by email to learn where the feeling of being behind has entered your life and what you want the rite to support.

You may be thinking about age, relationships, family, career, home, creativity, study, spiritual practice or another milestone you expected to have reached by now. I will prepare the working around your own circumstances rather than a fixed idea of where you “should” be.

Your completed rite, photographs and written materials will follow digitally within the stated preparation period.

When your life feels late

There are many ways to acquire a timetable for a life.

Some come from family or culture. Others form quietly through comparison: what friends have achieved, what people our age appear to be doing, or what we once assumed would already have happened by now.

In Her Own Time is a personalised Welsh rite for the point where those expectations begin to make your own life feel delayed, mistimed or somehow less complete.

It does not promise to hasten a particular outcome.

The work is about recovering a steadier relationship with the life you are actually living, including the parts that have taken longer, arrived differently, or are only beginning now.

This rite may suit you if

This work may be appropriate if you:

• feel behind other people of a similar age;
• are struggling with a milestone that has not happened when you expected;
• are starting again and resent how much time seems to have passed;
• worry that an opportunity has become less valid because it came “late”;
• find comparison making your own progress difficult to recognise;
• are questioning whether an old timetable still belongs to you.

It can also suit someone whose life has changed direction entirely and who needs room to decide what progress means now.

Arianrhod and imposed measures

Arianrhod appears in the Fourth Branch of the Mabinogi within a story deeply concerned with identity, expectation and the conditions placed upon a life.

After Math tests whether she is a virgin, she gives birth unexpectedly. Later, she places conditions upon Lleu: that he will receive neither name nor arms except from her, and no wife from the women then living. Gwydion repeatedly intervenes to overcome those restrictions.

The story is complicated and does not offer a simple teaching about destiny or divine timing.

For this rite, I approach it instead through the question of who gets to determine when a life has reached the stage it ought to have reached.

Other people may have expectations.

Circumstances may delay or redirect us.

We may also discover that some of the deadlines we fear missing were inherited rather than chosen.

The Working

Before preparing the rite, I will ask where the pressure is strongest and what you have begun using as evidence that you are “behind.”

The working is shaped around your own measure rather than comparison with somebody else's.

Arianrhod is honoured and invited with respect. The rite may explore an expected milestone, a delayed beginning, a second attempt, a changed ambition, or simply the need to stop treating age or chronology as a verdict upon your life.

The exact form and materials remain personal to the commission.

The Deluxe Rite is intended for situations where the sense of being behind reaches across several parts of life or has become difficult to separate from your sense of identity.

It includes everything in Standard, plus:

• an extended personal consultation;
• a separate preparatory cleansing and settling working;
• expanded personalisation around the expectations you have been carrying;
• a more detailed written account;
• an expanded Companion Guide exploring Arianrhod, comparison, milestones and changing definitions of progress;
• a personalised Welsh-and-English prayer or invocation;
• tailored reflection around inherited expectations and the timetable you now want to keep;
• one follow-up exchange after you have had time to sit with the work.

Your life is not a missed appointment

A different timetable does not automatically mean a failed one. Some things arrive late. Others change shape completely. The purpose of this rite is not to convince you that every delay is meaningful, but to help separate what you still genuinely want from the fear that you should already have it.
