An initiation marks a beginning, but not necessarily an answer.
This collection brings together personalised Welsh initiations created for those who wish to enter more deliberately into a relationship with a figure, story, tradition, or strand of spiritual practice rooted in Wales.
Each initiation has its own foundation. Some draw upon figures preserved in Welsh medieval literature and folklore; others may explore traditions that have developed through later Welsh history and contemporary practice. Where the historical record ends and my own ritual practice begins, I make that distinction clear.
These are not reconstructed ancient ceremonies, nor do they bind you permanently to a deity or path. They are contemporary rites of beginning: a considered way to approach the threshold, learn what stands behind it, and establish a practice that you may choose to continue tending afterwards.
Crossing is only the beginning. What relationship grows beyond the threshold remains yours to discover.
