The Hearthbound Rite - A Personalised Welsh Rite for Shared Home, Companionship & Everyday Devotion
What happens after you order
You will receive Your Rite Begins Here immediately after purchase, a short digital welcome guide explaining what happens next and how your personalised work is prepared.
I will then contact you by email to understand the life you share, what currently makes your home feel like yours, and what you would most like the rite to support.
Your completed rite, photographs and written materials will follow digitally within the stated preparation period.
The life that happens after choosing one another
A shared life is built from more than promises.
It is made from meals, routines, chores, evenings, cups of tea, practical decisions, quiet companionship, privacy, affection, and the countless ordinary things that gradually make a place feel like home.
The Hearthbound Rite is a personalised working for couples who want to tend that ordinary life deliberately.
It is not primarily about repairing a damaged relationship or making a commitment for the first time.
It is about the home and daily life that already exist between you.
You may be drawn to this work if:
- you have recently moved in together;
- you are settling into a new shared home;
- your household has begun to feel more functional than warm;
- work, children, caring responsibilities or stress have crowded out ordinary connection;
- you want to restore a greater sense of shared belonging;
- you are entering a new stage of domestic life;
- you want to mark the home you have built together;
- you are already committed, but want to pay more attention to the everyday companionship that sustains that commitment.
This rite can also suit long-established couples who simply want to bless the life they have already made.
Hearth, household and shared life
The hearth has long been one of the most ordinary centres of domestic life.
It is where food is prepared, warmth is kept, people gather, conversations happen, and the repeated work of maintaining a household becomes visible.
Within this rite, the hearth is not treated as a romantic symbol of perfect domestic harmony.
It is something more practical.
A shared home needs tending.
It asks for contribution, rest, care, boundaries, patience, hospitality, and room for both togetherness and individuality.
The work begins there.
The Working
The rite is shaped around three movements.
What makes this home ours
We begin with what already creates belonging.
That may be routines, objects, meals, familiar places, ways of resting together, small traditions, shared humour, particular rooms, or the habits that have quietly become part of your life as a couple.
What each person brings
A home is shared, but the people within it remain separate.
The rite considers what each of you contributes and what each of you needs: practical labour, emotional care, privacy, affection, hospitality, stability, quiet, companionship, or space.
The aim is not perfect equality in every task.
It is greater awareness of what is being given, what is being received, and where the household may need more deliberate attention.
What needs tending now
Finally, the work turns towards what would help the home feel more lived in together.
That might mean more warmth, more rest, better division of responsibilities, more shared time, clearer personal space, renewed ritual around meals or evenings, or simply a deliberate blessing over the life you are already living.
Standard — The Hearthbound Rite
The Standard Rite is best suited when the household is broadly steady and you want to strengthen warmth, companionship and shared belonging.
It includes:
- consultation with both participants by email;
- a complete personalised Welsh domestic rite;
- work centred on shared home, companionship and everyday devotion;
- photographs of the completed working;

Deluxe — The Shared Fire
The Deluxe Rite is intended for households entering a larger transition or where several parts of domestic life need attention at once.
It may suit you if you are moving home, blending households, adjusting after major work or family changes, or wanting to reconsider how ordinary life is shared.
It includes everything in Standard, plus:
- extended consultation with both participants;
- a separate preparatory cleansing and settling rite;
- expanded personalised ritual work;
- a more detailed written account;
- a personalised Companion Guide exploring household rhythm, shared care, boundaries and companionship;
- tailored practices for tending warmth without losing individual space;
- one shared reflection for revisiting what each of you wants the home to feel like;
- one follow-up exchange.
Choose Deluxe when the question is not simply How do we bless the home we share? but How do we want to live within it from here?
Everyday devotion
Devotion does not always look dramatic.
Sometimes it looks like remembering how the other person takes their tea.
Sometimes it is carrying more when the other person has less to give.
Sometimes it is recognising that the person you love still needs privacy, rest, friendship, interests and space that do not belong to the relationship.
Sometimes it is simply continuing to notice one another inside a life that has become familiar.
The Hearthbound Rite honours that kind of love.
Not love as spectacle.
Love as something lived.

Boed cynhesrwydd yn aros yn y cartref a rennir.
May warmth remain in the home you share.
May what you have built be tended with care, what each of you needs be given room, and the life between you continue to feel lived rather than merely maintained.
