Moonrest — Chamomile & Peppermint Herbal Tea

There are evenings when nothing more needs to be asked of the day.

Moonrest is a simple herbal blend of chamomile flowers and peppermint leaves, made for those quieter hours when work has finished, the light has softened, and there is room to sit for a while without needing to make anything of the moment.

Naturally caffeine-free, it has the soft floral character of chamomile balanced by the cleaner, cooler edge of peppermint. It can be enjoyed as an ordinary evening tea, alongside reading or journalling, or as part of a personal closing practice at the end of the day.

The Tea

Chamomile gives the blend its gentle floral warmth, while peppermint brings a fresher finish that keeps the cup from becoming too heavy.

Together they make a light, uncomplicated herbal tea with a clean aroma and a soft, cooling character.

There are no added flavourings or sweeteners. The blend is simply chamomile and peppermint, prepared loose leaf and packed to order.

How to Brew

Use approximately 1–2 teaspoons per cup.

Pour over freshly boiled water at approximately 95–100°C and allow to steep for 5–7 minutes, depending on the strength you prefer.

Drink as it is, or adjust the amount of tea and steeping time to suit your own taste.

A Quiet Practice

Moonrest does not need to become a ritual in order to have a place at the end of the day.

Sometimes the practice is simply making the tea, putting something down for the evening, and allowing a few minutes to pass without immediately filling them.

If you would like to give that moment a little more shape, you may wish to sit with the Welsh line:
