Awaken the Sight

There are many ways people describe the moment when ordinary perception seems to open further.

A dream carries more weight than usual. An impression arrives before there is any obvious reason for it. A presence is felt in an otherwise empty room. Images appear during meditation. Energy seems easier to distinguish. Something once faint becomes persistent enough that you want to understand it, strengthen it, or work with it deliberately.

Awaken the Sight is a personalised Welsh rite for the development of psychic and spiritual perception.

It is prepared around the abilities you want to explore rather than around a predetermined idea of what psychic experience should look like. You may be interested in second sight, spirit perception, energetic sensitivity, lucid or significant dreaming, clairvoyant imagery, intuitive knowing, or another form of perception that matters to your own practice.

The purpose of the rite is to give that development deliberate attention.

Not every form of sight arrives in the same way, and not every person wishes to develop the same faculty. Your working begins there.

This rite may suit you if

Awaken the Sight may be suited to you if you feel that psychic abilities have always been present but quiet; if you have begun noticing experiences you want to strengthen; or if you already practise some form of divination, mediumship, energy work, dreamwork or spiritual perception and want to deepen it.

It may also suit you if you have a very specific aim. Perhaps you want to remember dreams more clearly, become more receptive during divination, strengthen clairvoyant imagery, distinguish energetic impressions more readily, become more aware of spiritual presence, or simply devote a period of focused work to opening your perception further.

You do not need to fit your experience into someone else’s definition of psychic ability before ordering.

That is what shapes the rite.

Sight, Awen and Welsh Tradition

Welsh literature contains no single historical system called “psychic development,” and I do not try to manufacture one.

What it does contain is a rich body of material concerned with unusual knowledge, prophecy, inspiration, dreams, transformation and perception extending beyond what is immediately visible.

The traditions surrounding Ceridwen and Taliesin are particularly important to this rite. In the story of Gwion Bach, knowledge prepared within Ceridwen’s cauldron becomes transformative, eventually leading into the figure of Taliesin, whose poetry is repeatedly concerned with awen — inspired knowledge — and extraordinary ways of knowing and seeing.

Other Welsh figures may belong more naturally to a particular working.

Myrddin can be relevant where visionary or prophetic perception is central. Gwenddydd may be appropriate where dreams, signs or the interpretation of unusual impressions form the heart of the work. Other figures may emerge from the nature of the ability you want to cultivate.

I do not use them as a fixed list of psychic correspondences. The rite is built from the Welsh material that genuinely belongs to your intention.

The Working

Each Awaken the Sight rite is prepared individually.

Before I begin, you will tell me what you want to develop and what, if anything, you already experience. You can be as specific as you wish. If you regard what you experience as psychic, spiritual, energetic, mediumistic or something else, you do not need to translate it into different language for me.

From there, I shape the rite around the faculty you are seeking to strengthen.

A working might focus on greater receptivity to dreams, clearer inner imagery, sensitivity to presence, energetic perception, divinatory awareness, intuitive knowing or the development of second sight more broadly.

The rite is not intended to force every possible faculty open at once. More is not necessarily better.

The intention is to give attention to the form of sight you actually want to cultivate and to support your continuing practice afterward.

Your Rite Options

Awaken the Sight — Standard Rite

The Standard Rite is best suited to one primary area of psychic development.

It includes:

• a short private consultation by email;
• a fully personalised Welsh rite centred on the faculty you want to strengthen;
• work with the Welsh figure, story or current most appropriate to your intention;
• a photographic record of the completed rite;
• a written account of the working and its focus;
• a personalised practice for continuing to develop the ability afterward;
• a Companion Guide with exercises relevant to your chosen area, which may include dreamwork, visualisation, energetic awareness, intuitive practice, divination or other forms of perceptive development.

This option suits someone who already has a reasonably clear sense of what they want to explore.

Awaken the Sight — Deluxe Rite

Deluxe is intended for someone who wants a broader or more sustained period of development rather than a single focused working.

It includes everything in Standard, plus:

• an extended consultation exploring your experiences, aims and existing practice;
• additional preparatory work before the central rite;
• a more extensive personalised ritual;
• a longer development programme tailored to the faculties you want to strengthen;
• additional exercises for second sight, dream perception, energy sensing or other relevant practices;
• structured journal and observation prompts;
• a personalised focal text or affirmation for use during continued practice;
• one follow-up consultation after you have begun working with the material.

The Deluxe option is particularly useful if you are developing more than one related faculty, already have an established psychic practice, or want continued exercises rather than a single ritual followed by independent practice.

Both versions are complete workings. Deluxe simply provides more space for development beyond the rite itself.

Developing the Sight

Psychic development is often described as though something dramatic must happen immediately.

I prefer a slower approach.

Some people notice vivid dreams first. Others become more conscious of bodily impressions, images, changes in atmosphere, sudden knowing, spiritual presence or the behaviour of their divination tools. Some experiences grow clearer with attention; others change shape entirely as practice develops.

There is room for that.

The point of Awaken the Sight is not to prescribe what your abilities must become.

It is to give them deliberate space in which to grow.

You bring the faculty you want to explore. I prepare the rite around that intention, drawing from Welsh traditions of awen, vision and unusual knowledge without reducing your own experience to metaphor or deciding in advance what you are permitted to believe about it.
