The Grove of Two Lights - A Personalised Welsh Rite for Mutual Repair, Trust & Renewed Connection
What happens after you order
You will receive Your Rite Begins Here immediately after purchase, a short digital welcome guide explaining what happens next and how your personalised work is prepared.
I will then contact both participants by email to understand what has brought you to the rite, what has changed between you, and what each of you hopes might become possible from here.
Your completed rite, photographs and written materials will follow digitally within the stated preparation period.
When the relationship is still chosen, but something has changed
Not every relationship that has been hurt is finished.
Sometimes affection remains, but trust has been shaken. Communication has narrowed. Distance has grown around something neither person quite knows how to approach. Perhaps the relationship has survived a difficult period, but surviving it has not automatically restored what existed before.
The Grove of Two Lights is a personalised rite for two people who both want to tend the relationship deliberately.
It is not a working for forcing reconciliation, restoring a past version of the relationship, or ensuring that two people remain together.
It begins with something more grounded:
You are both still here. What can honestly be rebuilt from that?
You may be drawn to this work if:
- trust has been strained but not entirely lost;
- a difficult period has created emotional distance between you;
- communication has become cautious, repetitive or easily misunderstood;
- you both want to repair the bond, but are unsure where to begin;
- one or both of you have changed and the relationship needs to adjust with you;
- you want to acknowledge harm without allowing it to become the only story you share;
- you want a deliberate way to mark a mutual decision to try again.
This can be prepared for romantic partners, spouses, close friends or other adult relationships where both people knowingly choose to participate.
Two people, one relationship
The central image of this rite is simple: two lights sharing the same space without becoming one flame.
That matters.
Repair does not require either person to disappear into the relationship. Nor does closeness depend upon complete agreement, perfect understanding or the erasure of what happened.
The purpose of the rite is to create space for two separate people to look honestly at the bond between them and decide what they are each willing to tend.
Welsh stories frequently hold relationship, loyalty, obligation and consequence together without reducing them to simple lessons. That complexity suits this work well.
The relationship itself becomes the place of attention: not an idealised union, but something living that has been affected by what both people have carried into it.
The Working
The rite is shaped around three movements.
What was hurt
We begin with what changed.
That may be a specific event, a period of neglect, repeated misunderstanding, broken trust, outside pressure, unequal effort, or a quieter drift that became noticeable only after some time.
Neither person is required to produce a perfect account or agree on every detail.
The purpose is to acknowledge the wound without making the entire working revolve around blame.
What remains
Attention then turns to what still belongs to the relationship.
That may be affection, friendship, shared history, trust that has not entirely disappeared, a practical life built together, a wish to understand one another, or simply the fact that both people are still willing to sit at the same table.
Repair begins from what actually remains, not from what you think ought to remain.
What can be tended
Finally, the rite considers what each person is genuinely willing to bring forward.
That may include clearer communication, changed expectations, more deliberate affection, firmer boundaries, practical care, patience, accountability, or simply a willingness to meet the relationship as it is now rather than continually asking it to become what it once was.
The rite does not decide the future for you.
It gives your shared intention somewhere deliberate to stand.
Standard — The Grove of Two Lights
The Standard Rite is best suited when both participants already understand broadly what has happened and want to mark a mutual decision to begin tending the relationship again.
It includes:
- consultation with both participants by email;
- a complete personalised Welsh rite centred on mutual repair and renewed connection;
- symbolic acknowledgement of each person as an individual and of the relationship between you;
- photographs of the completed working;
- a written account of the rite and its symbolism;
- a personalised shared reflection or practice for the period afterwards.
Deluxe — The Shared Grove
The Deluxe Rite is intended for relationships where the hurt is more layered, longstanding, or difficult to reduce to one clear issue.
It includes everything in Standard, plus:
- extended consultation with both participants;
- a separate preparatory cleansing and settling rite;
- expanded personalised ritual work;
- a more detailed written account;
- a personalised Companion Guide exploring trust, communication, boundaries and renewed connection;
- tailored practices for rebuilding the relationship without erasing individual needs;
- a shared reflection for revisiting what each of you is choosing to tend;
- one follow-up exchange after you have had time to work with the material.
Choose Deluxe when the question is not simply Can we repair this? but What would repair actually require from each of us?
Repair does not mean returning
Some relationships recover by becoming warmer.
Some recover by becoming more honest.
Some become quieter, more spacious, or more clearly bounded than they were before.
A repaired relationship does not have to resemble the version that existed before it was hurt.
Sometimes the most meaningful thing two people can do is stop trying to return and begin deciding what they are willing to build now.

Boed i’r goleuni rhyngoch gael ei dueddu â gofal.
May the light between you be tended with care.
May what was hurt be acknowledged, what remains be recognised, and what you both still choose be given room to grow in its own shape.
