Some teas belong to bright mornings. Others suit the part of the day when the light has begun to lower and something richer feels more welcome.

Cinder & Mint is a Chinese black tea blended with cocoa bean pieces, cocoa flakes, peppermint and caramel pieces. The cocoa gives the tea a darker, roasted character, while peppermint brings a clean freshness through the cup and caramel rounds the blend with a softer sweetness.

It is a tea for slower afternoons, cold weather, reading beside a window, or the point in the evening when there is still enough day left for one more pot.

The Tea

Chinese black tea forms the base of the blend, giving it warmth and depth without obscuring the other ingredients.

Cocoa bean pieces and cocoa flakes bring an earthy chocolate character rather than the sweetness of a hot chocolate, while peppermint cuts cleanly through the darker notes. Small pieces of caramel soften the finish.

The result is a rich black tea with cocoa at its centre, lifted by mint and finished with a gentle caramel note.

How to Brew

Use approximately 1–2 teaspoons per cup.

Pour over freshly boiled water at approximately 95–100°C and allow to steep for 3–5 minutes, depending on the strength you prefer.

Enjoy it as it is, or add a little milk if you prefer a softer, rounder cup.

Cinder & Mint suits the kind of moment that already has its own shape: a book left open beside you, rain against the window, the last task of the day finally put aside, or simply the decision to sit somewhere warm for a while.
