The medieval narrative condemns her betrayal, while a modern reader may reasonably find themselves asking questions the story itself does not resolve about agency, responsibility, imposed identity and choice.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThose tensions are precisely why I find her worth approaching.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe initiation I prepare is not a reconstructed historical Welsh ceremony.
