When Math tests her claim by asking her to step over his magic wand, she gives birth. One of the children will eventually become Lleu Llaw Gyffes, while the other is Dylan.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAfter Dylan is baptised, he makes immediately for the sea. The tale describes him entering the water and taking on its nature, moving through it with extraordinary ease. Later tradition also preserves the striking image of the waves behaving differently beneath him.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is no lengthy account of Dylan learning to master the sea or earning his place within it. Something can suit us deeply and still require effort.
