We interpret quickly. We search for signs. We choose an explanation because having one feels safer than admitting that we do not yet know.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Gwyllion offer another landscape in which to consider that impulse.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe mist asks for attention.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhat can actually be seen?\u003cbr\u003eWhat are you assuming?\u003cbr\u003eWhat does your body notice before your mind has supplied an explanation?\u003cbr\u003eWhich instinct deserves attention, and which reaction has grown from fear?\u003cbr\u003eWhen should you continue?\u003cbr\u003eWhen should you wait?\u003cbr\u003eAnd when might turning back be wisdom rather than failure?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis initiation does not teach that instinct is always correct. The rite acknowledges the ground already beneath you: the experiences, relationships, practices and knowledge that remain present even when the way ahead is uncertain.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eObscurity\u003c\/strong\u003e marks the threshold. The Gwyllion are honoured and invited without assuming what, if anything, they will offer in return.
